Node operators run the infrastructure that secures THORChain and enables cross chain transactions. They validate transactions, observe activity across connected blockchains, secure user funds by bonding RUNE as collateral, and help sign deposits and withdrawals using distributed cryptographic keys. They are also what makes Secured Assets possible, because those assets depend on decentralized vault infrastructure and coordinated operators to custody native assets securely across chains. Without Node Operators, the lower blockchain layer would not be able to securely support the Rujira platform above it.
